About our client

Our client, a DACH-focused mid-market buyout fund, is looking to hire an Associate to complement their team in Zurich.

The fund has been set up by seasoned investors who all have decades of experience investing together in the region. Investing in tech-enabled, asset light businesses with tailwinds from megatrends - software and services, healthcare and smart industrials - they seek to acquire majority stakes and implement their transformational value creation agenda, focusing on people and organisation, digitalisation, sustainability and buy & build. Currently in the deployment phase of their latest vintage, they are looking for an Associate to work on investments and portfolio projects.

The company culture is very entrepreneurial and involves everyone on multiple internal and external topics, therefore creating a unique learning and collaborative environment with a high degree of freedom. What the job involves

  • Screening of relevant markets and industries to generate investment ideas
  • Identifying and evaluating investment opportunities across DACH
  • Embedded in the deal team, you will lead and/or challenge Advisors on financial and commercial due diligence, as well as valuations and modelling analysis, with a view to deliver investment proposals to the Investment Committee.
  • Define and implement value creation initiatives in portfolio companies
Who we are looking for

  • Previous experience in private equity, management consulting or investment banking in a renowned institution
  • University degree (masters) in business, management, finance, engineering or other major from a top university
  • Strong presentation and financial modelling skills are a must.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset - you will often work independently as part of a small team and lead processes on your own
  • Fluent German, any other language an asset
