About our client
Our client is a thriving early-stage venture capital fund with a mission to combat the devastating effects of climate change. Their investment focus is on niche Climate Tech start-ups in the Pre-Seed to Seed phases of development. Within a short time, they have achieved great success and built an impressive portfolio of investments across Europe and the USA. To continue this growth they seek to hire an experienced VC Investment Principal.
This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial and purpose-driven individual to join a high-performing VC fund while making a strong positive impact on today's most pressing challenges.
What the job involves
  • You will be responsible for leading the deal team including research, sourcing and coordinating financial, commercial, and legal due diligence
  • Strong numerical skills are required for detailed quantitative analysis
  • Participate in closing negotiations of target company valuations
  • Work closely with portfolio companies, constantly re-evaluating their operations and performance and provide operational support
  • Networking with inspiring entrepreneurs to identify new opportunities and build a presence in the market
  • Work as part of an independent and empowered team
Who we are looking for
  • Excellent academic record in a technical degree such as Business, Engineering, Science, or Technology
  • Investment professional with significant prior venture experience (exposure to the US market is a plus, although not required)
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude with a humble and collaborative approach
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate key findings and conclusions to entrepreneurs and partners
  • Very strong analytical thinking and modeling skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving motivation
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced and complex environment and be curious and passionate about potential climate tech solutions
  • Digital native, very comfortable with understanding new technologies, and proficient in MS Office
