On behalf of our client, an international Biotechnology company based in Bern, Swisslinx is looking for a Process Development Sceintist. This is a 12-months contract position (extension possible). You will play a key role at developing an alternative filtration technology. Within Process Development the company is continuously striving to improve current processes, focusing especially on efficiency. You will be involved in planning experiments, operating filtration systems, analyzing data, and writing reports.

- Workload: 100%

Your mission:

- Independent planning, performing, and evaluation of experiments
- Write and review protocols and reports
- Play an active role in the development and optimization of the manufacturing process
- Support and train new team members to be able to perform experiments successfully
- Performing routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation

Your Profile:

- University (or equivalent institution of higher education) degree in a relevant field (Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Process Development)
- Higher postgraduate degrees, e.g. Masters or PhD, will be well regarded
- Independent planning, conducting/performing and supervising laboratory experiments in the context of process development studies for plasma products
- Data evaluation and analysis applying sound statistical methods
- Experience in or familiarity with Data Processing Software (e.g. JMP or R)
- Experience in or familiarity with Quality by Design principles, including Design of Experiments (DoE) will be well regarded
- Good scientific report writing and presentation skills
- Interest in lab work (approx. 70 % lab and 30 % office)
- Highly motivated and strong interpersonal skills
- Near native / fluent in German and / or English
