Your role
Do you have financial accountant expertise with a strong conceptual understanding and an analytical mindset? Do you have the know-how for analyzing complex financial information? We are looking for someone to:
• support the preparation and validation of high-quality financial information, including the analysis and preparation of internal control documentation to support disclosures in interim and annual reports and regulatory filings
• analyze and provide transparent insights on financial data, in order to support the preparation of high-quality financial and regulatory reporting
• operate with a controller mindset, understanding risks and controls, diligently executing internal controls, working closely with stakeholders in other finance teams globally
• identify, and act on, opportunities to optimize internal controls, analytical review procedures and other processes
• support development of automated solutions, working with digital tools, helping to build further expertise within the team in this area (e.g., Alteryx, PowerBi, Python)
Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You'll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.
As well as on-the-job learning, you'll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you'll gain a wider perspective.
Besides all that, you'll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you'll get to know us.

You will be working in the Group and Entity Accounting & Controlling team in Zurich. We are responsible for the preparation and analysis of information in the UBS Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant requirements, as well as for the planning and execution of the review, sign-off and publication processes related to key external reports of UBS. We are also responsible for the preparation of the Group and standalone regulatory reporting, including those related to capital adequacy and liquidity and funding, to our primary regulators FINMA and the SNB, as well as the establishment of internal accounting control documentation for senior management. By ensuring that UBS's quarterly and annual reporting products as well as the regulatory reporting are accurate and of the highest quality, the team plays a vital role in protecting the firm's financial reputation, ensuring compliance with international and regulatory requirements thereby enhancing the firm's standing with its stakeholders and within the financial industry as a whole.
We aim to develop subject matter experts in the accounting and financial reporting space who can communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. We seek to continually challenge and enhance processes and controls, build further transparency and insights into our reporting products and identify opportunities for efficiency / automation. With these goals in mind, we are regularly engaged in change initiatives (accounting, reporting and infrastructure related) together with other stakeholders in the Group.

Your expertise
You need to have completed your bachelor's or master's degree, preferably finance or business administration.
In particular, you have:
• a strong understanding of IFRS (Swiss GAAP/ Swiss Federal banking law would be beneficial)
• a controller and analytical mindset
• the ability to apply technical understanding to practical problems
• a methodical, concise and accurate work style
• good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• a professional, pro-active and positive attitude
• a good command of Microsoft Office and are a fast learner when it comes to new IT products
• Very good command of English (both written and verbal), German would be beneficial
