(Senior) Business Intelligence Engineer in a high complex environment with excellent career opportunities for the location in Basel
Responsibilities:
In this role you will work closely with Business Departments, analyzing their requirements and determining data reporting needs that support business decision making. You will be responsible for maintaining the DWH Production, analyzing ad-hoc problems and developing result oriented BI solutions. Next to this you will be part of a dynamic team of highly talented individuals and will be encouraged to contribute with ideas, learn, design and implement.

You will also take on other responsibilities such as:

• Monitoring and troubleshooting of daily data processing
• Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize business intelligence processes
• Maintain documentations for all business intelligence processes
• Address ad-hoc queries and issues in a timely fashion
• Create and execute project plans within allotted budget and timelines
• Support of strategic projects as BI specialist
• Develop product vision, strategy, and roadmap

Your profile:
To cope with the tasks you have several years of experience in working in a similar role with focus on Microsoft technology. Ideally you have a university degree in computer science, Information Systems (University of applied sciences, University) or equivalent education/further education in a related field. A valid work permission for Switzerland is mandatory.

In addition, you can demonstrate knowledge of the following points:

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (skills in T-SQL)
• Experience with Microsoft BI development suite (SSIS, SSAS (MDX), SSRS) and Power BI is a strong plus
• Strong analytical and problems solving skills
• Able to tackle and complete multiple requests with conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently, but also a team player, self-motivated and with good communication skills
• Fluent in speaking and writing English, German is a plus
