We are seeking to hire a graduate or a recent graduate as an analyst to join our global Physical Oil business working in a fast paced trading environment. The candidate should be have a strong academic background and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
As an analyst you will have responsibility for position and P&L reporting, will act as a point of escalation for issues with automatic trades and support the front office with the entry of non-standard or new trade types and will ensure that price curves are correctly calculated and implemented into the appropriate tools and systems on a daily basis. You will quickly develop proficiency in the use of Macquarie's trading systems which is a core competency of the role.
The candidate should demonstrate an interest in global markets (perhaps you have previous experience or have completed relevant internships) and good communication skills as the role will involve interaction with diverse teams and senior management. Advanced excel and programming skills, specifically python, would be an advantage. Otherwise we are open minded and encourage you to apply.
