About our client
Our client is a leading private equity fund which is looking to bring on board a highly quantitative and savvy Data Analytics & Insights Specialist to their renowned financial information and valuation team. This team acts as the central hub between the fund's investors, deal teams and its investor relations team. It is accountable for analysing and reporting all financials of its portfolio companies, quarterly valuations, LP requests, and works closely with IR.
What the job involves

• Maintain responsibility for the fund and portfolio monitoring systems
• Ensure timely, efficient upload of portfolio company data financials, operation and KPIs for onboarding and on an ongoing basis
• Ensure timely, efficient upload of valuation, fund accounting and cash flow data
• Look for ways to design, automate and optimise the above processes
• Act as subject matter expert on the analytics & insights to extract from the data to support
• Develop smart and relevant dashboards to inform different groups and provide a tool to help for decision making in investment committee and throughout monitoring
• Own and develop efficient data flows for quarterly investor and board reporting
• Develop business intelligence tools and integrate into overall infrastructure i.e PowerBI usable by different business lines for different purposes (IR, fundraising, deal making, benchmarking)
• Ensure systems are fit for purpose, future proofed and scalable

Who we are looking for

• Professional experience in either financial reporting, systems & controls audit, business intelligence/FP&A, data management, bank operations, prior experience in asset management particularly in alternatives is a plus
• Masters Microsoft suite incl. Power BI, Python, Tableau or Alteryx experience is a plus, exposure to portfolio monitoring systems and CRM from PE space is an advantage
• Should have a good working knowledge of accounting if not qualified
• Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments, while delivering high quality work product
• Proven experience in developing innovative solutions with an agile way of work (scrum like)
