Job Purpose/Background

Are you passionate about servicing clients and exceeding their expectations? In this position you will be able to put all your skills to work and help develop existing relationships and growth of the client book in Switzerland. Our iShares & Wealth Team in Switzerland promotes the full spectrum of BlackRock / iShares products, solutions and services to Wealth & Asset Managers and Asset Owners. Our clients are institutional investors like pension funds, global and multi-national banks, wealth managers and insurers.

The position will be based in Zurich as part of the Swiss Sales Team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • As an Associate Relationship Manager, you will help build connections with our client groups; improve and grow sales across our platform, including ETFs, mutual funds, alternatives (Hedge Funds, Private equity, Private Credit, Real Estate investments) and bespoke solutions, to deliver aspirational financial results measured by AUM, net new assets and revenue targets.
  • Drive the development and execution of account strategies jointly with the team- or account lead.
  • Partnering with subject matter specialists and senior leadership across the functions to prioritize partner demands.
  • Handle day to day business flow and deliver service excellence (pre-trade guidance, product comparisons, cost analytics)
  • Follow all regulatory and legal standards
  • Collaboration and information sharing with other iShares & Wealth sales teams globally
  • Contribute to the delivery of annual target of net new assets, generated from existing and new clients
  • Maintain and develop dialogue with respective product development and marketing departments
  • Deliver product presentations to clients via phone, video conferences and office visits
  • Arrange client meetings and conference calls with Portfolio Managers or Product Specialists
  • Lead road shows, events & seminars in partnership with Marketing and Event Management team


Knowledge/Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge about financial products and especially funds and ETFs - preferably with validated experience in selling investment products to sophisticated investors and handling client relationships
  • Ability to take account ownership and strategically develop relationships; position investment ideas and other valuable services generating sales and assets
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and the Swiss institutional landscape specifically
  • Existing network in Switzerland is highly desirable
  • Outgoing nature who puts client-interest first and loves to work in a highly dynamic and ambitious environment
  • The individual must be an upbeat self-starter with professional pride and a dedication to perfection and improvement; she or he is a standout colleague with a "can-do" attitude and a pragmatic flexibility; further, the successful candidate will be organized and entrepreneurial, possessing outstanding verbal and written communication skills in at least German and English (French is considered a plus)


Skills / Qualifications:
  • University degree in business administration, economics or finance.
  • CFA, CIIA and/or CAIA would be of advantage but not preconditioned
  • Shown ability to handle complex projects involving different business groups and to assist the business in implementing solutions across the broad range of BlackRock products and services.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Extensive experience in MS Office suite including Word, Excel (VBA) , Power Point. Coding skills would be a plus


Experience & Key Competencies
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in leading Banks, Asset Manager or Wealth Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German, French a plus
  • Outstanding communicator with strong influencing skills together with an ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident, friendly and respectful individual who is comfortable in collaborating closely with clients and colleagues at all levels.
