Job Description
The Successful Applicant
* A numerically focused university degree essential and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred;
* Cross asset class knowledge would be ideal with around ten years' experience in the investment industry and a minimum of five years' experience in global real estate private equity fund research;
* Solid understanding of researching and selecting best-of-class real estate private equity funds globally within an investment institution
* Sound understanding of a broad range of financial and investment principles;
* Numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail is a pre-requisite as is the ability to work to deadlines in a team based environment;
* Experience with advanced data analysis and modelling;
* Strong work ethic with an ability to interact in a professional manner;
* Someone who can adapt and has the ability to work on a variety of projects;
* Self-motivated and ability to work independently;
* Fluent in English, German would be a plus;
* Travel required.

- Involvement in all asset classes listed above with a particular focus on real estate private equity funds;
- Helping the investment research team source, screen and evaluate managers;
- Carrying out detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses of investments on a global basis using multiple sources of data from internal and external providers;
- Creating and assessing peer group analysis for potential investment ideas at the early stage of due diligence processes;
- Helping monitor and track performance of analyzed funds;
- Regularly updating internal models and ensuring accuracy for monthly and quarterly analyses;
- Helping review and compile competitive and suitable benchmarks;
- Assisting in relationship maintenance by interacting with other internal departments and external counterparties including fund managers;
- Acting as link between the investment research team and financial reporting team;
- Contributing to and sharing relevant knowledge with the immediate team and firm-wide;
- Creating, updating and maintaining the database;
- Ad hoc specific projects as required.
