Position:

Are you an experienced investment advisor/investment counsellor with 4 to 5 years' + experience advising private clients across Latin America and looking for a more flexible and dynamic working environment as part of a leading private bank? This could be "just the job" and the fresh new year challenge you've been waiting for!

Sitting with the Business, you will work closely with your counter-parts in Geneva and support bankers across the 3 Swiss offices (the majority of bankers being based in Zurich for the LATAM markets). An excellent platform and good support.

Your task will include, but not limited to:

• Develop a close collaboration with the bankers, ensuring a high availability for client meetings and implement advisory mandates booked locally
• Serve as main point of contact for the bankers on all investment matters
• Provide investment advice and solutions to the bankers and their clients on global products including fixed income instruments, equities, funds, hedge funds, derivatives and structured products
• Working primarily on non-discretionary mandates, you will also assist the bankers in sourcing discretionary mandates where appropriate
• Proactively conduct book reviews and portfolio analysis & health checks with the bankers and agree on actions to close gaps, leading to reduced risks and higher client activity
• Spot client opportunities and source/share investment/product ideas - open architecture (revenues targets rather than NNM)
• Support on Suitability & Appropriateness aspects

Profile:

• Fluent Portuguese and Spanish - both a MUST
• 4-5 years+ active advisor or portfolio management experience for private clients on the LATAM markets
• Your experience could come from private banking, investment management or equivalent
• Strong asset class experience as a generalist and proven track record in coming up with investment ideas and helping to pitch/close investment deals
• Used to working to targets
• CFA or equivalent an asset
• A flexible, "muck in", autonomous team player attitude with excellent influencing/communication skills and able to build credibility with the Business
• Happy to travel (when conditions allow)
• Possibility to have flexible working hours/perhaps work also at 80% although this is a very busy job with a large caseload
• Committed to being based in Zurich or willing to relocate
• Eligible or in possession of a valid Swiss work permit
