CoStar Portfolio Strategy, the consulting arm of CoStar Group (CSGP), provides unparalleled expertise and objective thinking in analyzing commercial real estate (CRE) markets. Located in Boston, MA, our consulting team sets the industry standard for offering independent research, a unique set of analytic tools, actionable insights and strategic advice to investors on hundreds of global markets in North America and Europe. The firm provides consulting to a Whos Who of global CRE market participants, including real estate investment advisors, pension funds, REITs, commercial banks, and insurance companies. CoStar Portfolio Strategy is currently looking for a Consultant to join the growing team. Consultants play an important role in client management, thought leadership, and project coordination, for individual clients and a wide range of special projects across the firm. Most importantly, this person can define and create end-to-end consulting solutions to meet client needs, including actionable investment strategies.

Consultants at CoStar Portfolio Strategy are team players who own problems along with solutions and can meaningfully participate in teams across the firm to achieve business objectives for clients.

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct client management
• Provide actionable advice and creative solutions/deliverables to meaningfully impact a clients business
• Interact with other consultants across CoStar Portfolio Strategy to both keep abreast of recent and expected market trends, as well as, assist in providing responses to client inquiries
• Participate in client presentations
• Publish articles, research notes and whitepapers on the state of the U.S. CRE marketplace
• Participate in/contribute content for quarterly client webinars
• Support firm-wide initiatives at the direction of senior management
• Travel expected

Job Prerequisites:

• Demonstrated thought leadership in producing actionable recommendations in the areas of commercial real estate portfolio management, asset management, investor relations, market selection, and risk management
• Excellent project management skills with proven ability to participate in/lead an ad hoc team of colleagues in creative problem solving and custom client deliverables
• Demonstrated client management skills
• Well-developed presentation abilities and demonstrated interest in publishing research notes for a CRE audience
• Minimum two/three years direct CRE experience
• Graduate degree or CFA considered a plus
• Ability to draw relevant and actionable conclusions from large data sets
• Experience with SQL and demonstrated usage of all key business intelligence applications (eg. Excel; PowerPoint)
• Experience with data analytics/visualization applications such as Microsoft Power BI a plus
• Ability to succeed in fast moving and intellectually challenging professional environment
